Experience Summary

Jamie is a passionate landscape designer who's interest in design came at a young age. She is especially inspired by plant selection and design, and enjoys exploring national parks, forests, and open spaces. She holds a Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.

Currently a Design Associate with Studio H, Inc., Jamie is involved in many aspects of the design process from client acquisition to construction observation. She specializes in project management, planting and lighting design, grading and drainage plans, and client/vendor/contractor communication.

Jamie previously worked at Zeterre Landscape Architecture as a landscape designer, garnering experience in all aspects of the residential design process. She completed technical and illustrative design work, as well as project managed several small-scale residential projects working directly with principal designers. During her time there, she specialized in the sourcing of rare and unique plants. Additionally, she created the firm's first system of plant sourcing and order organization.

During the Summer of 2014, Jamie interned at ValleyCrest (now BrightView), assisting designers in technical and illustrative work under tight deadlines.

She is trained in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat), Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), Sketchup (focused on creating base modes for use in Lumion), Leica and Cyclone 360. She has also successfully worked in Rhino, V-Ray for Rhino, and LandFX.

Jamie is in the process of obtaining professional licensing and certifications (LARE, LEED) and hopes to complete her licensing in 2020.
